Obama or one of his people decided to use this image after Shepard Fairey, aka Obey (anartistidontlikesomuchbutnonethelessanartist), and his worldwide group of posses decided to start a campaign to put this picture up everywhere
in an a conversation with Obama, Fairey asked whether or not Obama understood that he was an illegal street artist, Obama acknowledged it and stated that he respected what he did because his art gave insight to the minds of daily americans
