KANYE WEST

West's new album, 808s and heartbreak, is much darker than his past albums. Influenced by many factors, notably his huge jump to fame off his Graduation album (topping 50's sales), the death of his mother, and breakup with ex-fiance and a major influence in West's style, Alexis Phifer, who West has been on and off with since 2002.
